LimeHD&Short Film Days 2025

On December 14–15, the history of Russian microdramas took an important step into the future. Lime HD was not merely an observer of the changes taking place, but a co-organizer and an active driver shaping a new direction in the domestic film industry.
As part of the Short Film Days festival the company became a strategic partner of three key events aimed at developing the vertical microdrama and short-video format.
Roundtable discussion: “Short Film 2.0”

One of the central events of the festival was the roundtable discussion “Short Film 2.0”, dedicated to the revolution of vertical short-form video. Leading experts from Russia, Turkey, and China took part in the discussion.

Participants addressed global trends in the microdrama market, the specifics of storytelling in short formats, and monetization prospects. Representatives of Lime HD played an active role in shaping the discussion agenda, outlining key vectors for the industry’s development.
Russia’s First Microdrama Pitching Session

A landmark event of the festival was Russia’s first-ever microdrama pitching session, co-organized by Lime HD. More than 100 applications from across the country were submitted to the competition.

Following the selection process, 11 projects were shortlisted, and the winners were:

🥇 “Marriage Games” (Moscow)
🥈 “Bride with Delivery” (Moscow)
🥉 “Between the Boss, the Husband, and His Mistress” (Saint Petersburg)

More details about the pitching results and microdrama trends can be found in an interview with Lime HD’s chief director, Evgeny Danilkin - telegram.
Exclusive Master Class by an International Industry Leader

The festival also hosted an exclusive master class by Wenwen Han, CEO of the Short Drama Alliance (China), one of the global leaders in the short-drama industry.

The session focused on the logic of creating and scaling microdramas. It was moderated by Omer Abacioglu, producer and Head of Content at the Turkish partner company. Lime HD team members actively participated in the professional dialogue.
Presentation of the “KinoLenta” Platform

During the roundtable discussion, Vladimir Sivov, founder of Lime HD, presented the KinoLenta platform — a ready-to-use service for the distribution and monetization of short films and microdramas.

The presentation generated strong interest among festival participants and highlighted a practical infrastructure for the development of this new content format in Russia.

Participation in the Short Film Days festival marked an important step for Lime HD in building an ecosystem for vertical series and microdramas, and confirmed its role as one of the key players in this emerging segment of the film industry.
